Adding Dynamic HTML Effects

Dynamic HTML is not a standard technology but a combination of technologies, including a markup language (HTML or XHTML), a scripting language (JavaScript, ECMAScript, or VBScript, for instance), a style sheet language (CSS or XSL/XSLT), and a DOM (or Document Object Model). The development of Dynamic HTML has largely been stymied because Microsoft and Netscape initially supported different DOMs. All current major browsers now support the W3C's standard DOM, so incorporating Dynamic HTML effects in Web pages is now much more practical.
